Free tools for AI builders: our open-source skills, plugin and MCP kits

We publish four original repositories on GitHub, and you can use all of them for free. animatedwebs-claude is the official Claude Code plugin for the AnimatedWebs MCP server. regescore-motioncraft-skills is a set of MIT licensed motion skills for Claude Code and Codex. motionvault-agent-kit is the MCP toolkit from our sister site MotionVault. RegesARC is a launcher for running larger language models locally, under AGPL-3.0. Install lines and honest notes on each license are below.

By the AnimatedWebs team

These are the public repositories we are happy to point at. Each one is original work from our team, not a fork. The descriptions below come from each repository's own README as we read it on October 31, 2026, and we give no star or user counts because they change daily and are not the point.

One more thing up front. AI coding agents help write this code, and David reviews it before it goes public. We would rather say so than leave you guessing, and it is the same way of working these tools are built to support.

animatedwebs-claude: the Claude Code plugin

animatedwebs-claude is the official AnimatedWebs plugin for Claude Code. It connects Claude to the template library through the AnimatedWebs MCP server and adds skills and slash commands for building a full site, upgrading a hero, adding a video background, dropping in a component or applying a style.

Claude Code
/plugin marketplace add iboss21/animatedwebs-claude
/plugin install animatedwebs@animatedwebs

Who it is for: anyone who already works in Claude Code and wants templates, backgrounds, components and design systems available by plain request. The first tool call opens your browser to sign in, and a free account is enough to start. License: the plugin files are provided for use with the AnimatedWebs service, and the templates themselves follow the AnimatedWebs Terms, so this repo is free to install but not an open license for the template library. Using another client? The MCP page has the one-line setup for Cursor, Codex, VS Code, Windsurf and Antigravity.

regescore-motioncraft-skills: motion craft for your agent

regescore-motioncraft-skills teaches an agent to build, review and measure cinematic motion websites. It has three skills: a builder that turns a brief into one idea, a page architecture and a beat sheet; a reviewer that screenshots sections and runs blocking QA checks; and an analytics skill that measures frame time and sets weight budgets. It also carries 26 technique recipes, QA scripts and four free templates.

Claude Code
/plugin marketplace add iboss21/regescore-motioncraft-skills
/plugin install motioncraft@regescore-motioncraft

Who it is for: developers and designers using Claude Code or Codex who are tired of the average gradient-and-fade-in site. Skills are plain folders, so Codex, Cursor and other agents can use them by copying the folders, and the README shows the exact commands. License: MIT. The scripts need Node 18 or newer, and the screenshot checks need Playwright in the project you review.

motionvault-agent-kit: our sister site's toolkit

motionvault-agent-kit is the agent toolkit from MotionVault, a sister site in the same company. It is an MCP server with catalog search, motion and design-system tools, executable code generators, six skills and six agent guides. It is in public beta, and the README says so.

Run it locally (Node 20.19 or newer)
git clone https://github.com/iboss21/motionvault-agent-kit.git
cd motionvault-agent-kit
npm ci
npm run start:http

Who it is for: people who want to try MotionVault's catalog and creative-engineering tools from their own agent. The README also lists a hosted MCP endpoint you can add without cloning anything. License: the server, tool and skill code is MIT. MotionVault's template prompts, artwork and media carry their own end-project license, which the code license does not cover.

RegesARC: bigger local models on a 12 GB GPU

RegesARC is a launcher for Mixture-of-Experts language models that do not fit in a consumer graphics card. It scans your RAM, GPU and disk, gives each model in its catalog a verdict of card, disk or no, and serves the result through OpenAI and Anthropic compatible endpoints on one port. Releases are published separately in regesarc-releases.

Check what fits, then serve
python setup.py --list
python reges/serve.py --port 8080

Who it is for: tinkerers who want to run larger open models on their own hardware. It is early code at version 0.1.0, so expect rough edges. Because it exposes standard OpenAI and Anthropic style endpoints, a local server like this is something an agent client can be pointed at; its README does not describe an AnimatedWebs integration, so we make no claim beyond that. License: AGPL-3.0, a strong copyleft license. If you run a modified version as a network service you must offer its source to your users. The README adds that commercial licensing is available for proprietary use.

How they fit with the AnimatedWebs MCP and Create

  • The plugin is the front door. It wires Claude Code to the AnimatedWebs MCP server, so templates, backgrounds, components and styles arrive through the tools you already use.
  • The skills are the method. They change how your agent works, whether the starting point is an AnimatedWebs template or your own page. Use them with the plugin or alone.
  • Create is the browser route. If you would rather not use an agent, AnimatedWebs Create generates components in the browser with a live preview.
  • The kit and RegesARC are optional. The MotionVault kit is a second MCP source, and RegesARC is for people who want a local model. Neither is required for anything on AnimatedWebs.

A plain summary of the licenses

  • regescore-motioncraft-skills: MIT.
  • motionvault-agent-kit: MIT for code; MotionVault media is licensed separately.
  • animatedwebs-claude: plugin files for use with the AnimatedWebs service; templates follow the AnimatedWebs Terms.
  • RegesARC: AGPL-3.0.

Read the LICENSE file in each repository before you build on it. This post is a summary, not legal advice. Found a bug or have an idea? Open an issue on the repository, or contact us.
