Marketplace Guidelines
What Like a King Inc. expects from creators who publish templates on AnimatedWebs, and what buyers can expect from them. These guidelines work together with the Creator Terms.
1. Original work
- Publish only work you made, or have the right to publish under a license that lets you sell it.
- Do not copy another marketplace's templates, another creator's work, or a site you do not own, even if you rewrite the code.
- Work inspired by a reference must be clearly your own design, not a clone of its layout, copy, artwork and motion.
- You must be able to prove ownership. We may ask you to show the source, history or tools you used, and the application includes an ownership check.
2. Assets and licenses
- Every image, video, font, icon, 3D model, sound and library in a template needs a license that allows its use inside a template that buyers may use and change.
- No third-party assets that cannot be redistributed. Stock media from Envato, Shutterstock, Adobe Stock and similar services must not be bundled or hot-linked in a template you sell, because buyers do not receive a license to it through you.
- List the source and license for anything that is not your own, and keep the credit lines that a license requires.
- Open-source code is fine if its license permits this use. Keep its notices, and do not use code under a license that would force the buyer to publish their site.
- Do not use AI output in a way that breaks the terms of the tool that made it. Say so where AI made the assets, as the AI Terms describe.
- Do not use logos, brand names, real people's likenesses or real testimonials you do not have the right to use. Placeholder text should look like placeholder text.
3. Honest listings and reviews
- Titles, descriptions, previews and demo videos must show what the template really does. Do not promise results such as traffic, rankings or sales.
- Do not write or buy fake reviews, ratings or testimonials for your own work, and do not post negative ones about others. Do not offer rewards in return for a specific rating.
- Do not use badges, tiers or credentials you do not hold, or imply our endorsement. See the Trademark Guidelines.
- Do not manipulate sales, downloads, views or rankings, or use multiple accounts to do so.
4. Quality bar
We review each submission by hand. To be listed, a template should:
- load and run as shown in its live demo, with a repository or files a buyer can use;
- have motion that serves the design, not effects added for their own sake, and respect
prefers-reduced-motion(see Accessibility); - work on phones and desktops and perform reasonably on ordinary hardware;
- use clear structure and readable code, with notes on how to change the content;
- be free of malware, hidden trackers, hidden links, crypto miners and code that sends data somewhere the buyer is not told about.
Passing review is our decision, and we may decline, ask for changes, unlist or remove a template. We explain the reason when we can. Tiers and badges follow from reviewed work, as described in the Creator Terms.
5. Content that is not allowed
Content must follow the Acceptable Use Policy. In particular, no illegal, deceptive, hateful, sexual-exploitation or harassing content, no scams or phishing look-alikes, and no templates built to impersonate a real bank, government, brand or person.
6. Takedowns and repeat infringers
- If a rights holder sends a valid notice under our Copyright and DMCA Policy, we may remove the content right away and tell the creator, who may send a counter-notice as that policy explains.
- Creators who are found to infringe more than once, or who repeatedly upload content that breaks these guidelines, may have their account and credentials ended, as the repeat infringer section of that policy describes.
- We may also remove content that breaks these guidelines without a notice, for example when a license problem or a safety issue is found in review.
- Revenue from removed content may be held or reversed where the Creator Terms allow it.
7. Reporting a problem
If you think a template breaks these guidelines, use the contact form. For copyright claims, follow the DMCA process. See all policies on the Legal page.
